Swoop
(there it is.)
Swoop is a lowercase typeface that replaces all diagonal elements of the alphabet with strong, sweeping curves. Negative space is inserted within characters to provide balance amongst the individual shapes.
Common shapes are repeated throughout the font. These include quarter-circles and semi-circles, but never complete circles. Expanded rectangles with semi-rounded caps are used frequently to form the stems of both ascenders and descenders.
While it may be easy to focus upon the shapes, it’s more important to classify the lines that make up the shapes. Ninety-degree curves are incorporated into every letter, bringing a distinguished consistency to the font.
